Riding Experience

Alfie is proud to be one of the oldest KTM Tour operators globally, dedicated to delivering an unforgettable off-road adventure. Our tours are booked on request by groups and span a total of 7 days – five days of riding and two rest days.

Expect to spend 5-6 hours in the saddle per day. These enduro tours are 98% off-road (with minimal gravel road riding), focusing on technical skill over speed. Our routes are designed to challenge and improve your technical skills without being overly difficult. As Alfie puts it, “You’ll leave feeling accomplished, having learned and enjoyed the more technical aspects of riding.”

For every technical section, there is an alternative route available. Alfie, with decades of tour experience since 1996, is present throughout the tour to assist riders with challenging obstacles. If need be Alfie will ride a participants motorcycle up or through any obstacle of which they may be unsure of. 

Itinerary at White Clay

We spend the first three days at White Clay Resort, riding each day. Meals are provided at the resort, with the exception of lunch, which is enjoyed at various stops during the rides. After each ride, snacks and refreshments are available back at White Clay Resort, providing riders with a chance to relax.

During the stay at the Wild Coast, you will ride three different trails. The east loop is 80km, the south loop is 70km, and the inland loop is also about 80km. The terrain consists of grassy hills, rocky goat paths, river crossings, forests and rocks.  The trails are awesome, offering stunning views from high cliffs overlooking the Indian Ocean, where it’s common to see dolphins and occasionally whales.

Travel to Natal

On the 4th day, you will travel back to Natal with Alfie for a rest day. This drive covers 500km and takes approximately 6 hours. Accommodation in Natal is at Jackson’s Drift B&B, located on Alfie and Hazel’s smallholding, where we also run our motorcycle dealership (ALFIE COX RACING). The B&B cottages are en-suite, with two persons sharing if there are more than six participants, otherwise, single rooms are available. Breakfast is served at the cottages, packed lunches are provided, and dinners will be at local restaurants during your stay.

Riding in Natal 

You will ride two different routes within a 100km radius of Jackson’s Drift whilst in Natal – Alfie’s home province. They include forests, sugar cane plantations, traditional villages, rocky paths, goat paths, rivers, and bushveld.

One evening will be hosted at Alfie’s home where a traditional meal (braai/bbq) is enjoyed.

On your last day on tour with us, you will visit a local safari park for a game drive followed by breakfast before we see you off at he airport.

• Air travel to and from South Africa
• Laundry
• Alcohol
• Medical evacuation and doctor visits during the enduro tour
• If you and your group wish to go shark diving – freediving, the cost is ZAR 1,500 per person, including the boat trip out to sea.
