2025 SOLD OUT

Roof of Africa Package

The Roof of Africa is now officially part of the FIM HEWC Series and will take place from 19 to 23 November 2025, with registration on Wednesday, 19 November.

For the past 20 years, Alfie Cox Racing has offered a rental and service package, and this year is no different. Many riders return year after year, which means our available packages fill up quickly.

After almost four decades of racing around the world, Alfie knows exactly what riders need: peace of mind. No matter which class you enter, your only job is to arrive in Lesotho in the best physical condition possible. We handle the rest, getting you to the finish line of “the mother of hard enduro”.

With our Rental & Service Package, you are the factory rider – just arrive and ride. We take care of everything: logistics, fuel containers, techs at the DSP, cooler boxes, and race-day advice. Alfie is supported by our skilled ACR workshop team.

Contact Hazel at alfie@alfiecox.com for more information.

Accommodation and Logistics

Our team, including technicians and Alfie, will stay at the Avani Lesotho Sun. Riders must book and pay for their own accommodation directly with Avani Lesotho Hotel. Chat to us if you require assistance.

Alfie Cox Racing is located 70 km from King Shaka International Airport in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. It is advisable to rent a small car from the airport to drive to us and Lesotho. A 4×4 vehicle is not necessary; a standard car like a VW Polo will suffice.

Pre-Race Accommodation and Facilities

Fully booked for 2025

Pre-race accommodation is available at our cottages, priced at ZAR 1,400 per person per night, including dinner and breakfast. Lunch and refreshments are not included.

Our smallholding features a fully equipped communal kitchen and dining area. Riders are welcome to arrive from the Friday before the Roof event, with access to our workshop and technicians for bike setup.

Shakedown Ride

A shakedown ride, led by Alfie, will take place on Sunday, the 16th of November. This approximately 4-hour ride allows riders to get accustomed to the bike and make any necessary adjustments.

Alfie will depart on Tuesday, the 18th of November, at 5:00 AM to arrive in Maseru, Lesotho, around lunchtime, to lead international riders on a shakedown in Maseru.

Please note that the extra night’s accommodation on the 18th is not included in the Avani roof package.

Travel from Cato Ridge to Maseru

The drive from Cato Ridge to Maseru takes approximately 6 hours. It is recommended to leave on Monday afternoon and stay overnight at Clarens, passing through the Golden Gate Nature Reserve. Alfie will pass through Clarens around 8:00 AM on Tuesday, the 26th, and riders can ride convoy with him to Lesotho.
